Brinkman Grills
Brinkmann grills occasionally have issues with the regulator, which is
attached to the propane cylinder. If you’re not getting gas flow to your
grill and it won’t light with a match, the regulator could be the
issue. To test the regulator, make sure you turn all burners off and
then turn on the propane valve. Attempt to light the grill with the
electronic ignitor and a match. If your grill DOES light with a match,
the issue is the which may need to be replaced. If it does light with a match, the
problem could be the regulator. These grill parts can be troubleshooted
by following these steps:Reset the regulator by turning all burners off and turning off the
propane cylinder valve. Disconnect the regulator, wait for at least two
minutes then reattach the regulator and turn the valve on again.Check for leaks in the grill and make sure the knobs are all turned
off first, as this can trigger the safety mechanism in the grill. Look
for leaks by applying soapy water to the connections and fuel line and
watching for bubbles to appear. If you have any leaks, make sure you
order replacement grill parts. Finally, test the regulator on your Brinkmann grill by connecting it
to another propane cylinder. If the problem persists, you definitely
have a faulty regulator that needs to be replaced.
