My love affair with paper dates back to the mid-70s when I used to steal
my dad’s notepads off his desk. Yes, my dad was a notepad guy. He
worked for a graphic design firm and they had the coolest logo which was
imprinted on the notepads I stole. My dad had LOTS of these covetable
notepads lying around, so I could be pretty stealth with my steals. I
also remember my dad carried a slick Cross pen in his shirt pocket back
in those days. Not anything nerdy, I guess he just put it there for easy access. And
I stole those too off the top of his chest of drawers, however, he
always seemed to find me out! Thus began my paper and pen passion. My paper passion has evolved
into a particular weakness for thick, premium paper. I especially prefer
my thank you notes and holiday photo cards
in luxe thickness because it soaks up the color richness of inks and
makes skin tones look so natural and real. And the weight oozes luxury
when you hold it in your hand.
